Yup! Which is why I read the terms & conditions, and why our “smart TV” only does turn-on/turn-off (we bought it for the size and resolution, not the smarts). According to the T&C, enabling the smart features also gives permission to share every. Last. Usage. What we watch. When we watch.

Netflix wants to know when we watch Netflix? Sure. Apple, how we use Apple TV+? Why not. LG, OTOH, does not need to know ALL our streaming plus all our live broadcast TV (zero, btw — I’ll share that for free 😉) plus when we watch DVDs, just so they can improve their revenue stream? Bugger off, mate.

LG wants to know when we wash our bedsheets? Knock yourselves out, guys… 🙄
