WOW!

No coyotes (thank heaven!), no mink (I don't think?); rabbits, foxes, possums, skunks, and raccoons are night-time visitors or timid (and Deb LOVES the bunnies!). Groundhogs destroyed half our new flowers when we had the back rebuilt in 2017, but I have not seen one for months now (and even that was when I had to rescue one from the neighbor dog — yes, I don't like them, but the dog was just being viscous and playing with it — my "rescue" was throwing a tarp over the groundhog, and the pup thought it had vanished!). Our squirrels are 99% gray, and yes, they can be hard on plants (75% mortality of our new lilies of the valley because the stupid tree rats kept digging them up, thinking there HAD to be something tasty buried there!) and I have ongoing battles with ones who love the birdseed — out of four "squirrel-proof" feeders I've bought, exactly ONE has defeated my archenemy, Skippy the Wonder Squirrel.

But overall, we love our birds and bunnies, and even the squirrels make us laugh.
