While I love to cook (I was part of a singles cooking group, before I got married—cooking for a bunch of people eliminates the leftover problem, although it introduces the “triple the recipe or make it three times?” problem [the answer, it turns out, is try it one way, and if that doesn’t work, you should have done it the other way]) I appreciate that not eveyone does (in the same way not everyone throws out “I was doing triathlons at the time” as casual oh-by-the-ways).
