Where were you when my sister was looking for reliable and acceptable in-home care for our parents, NE? (Although this was a few years ago, in northern Illinois, so probably not applicable. Ah, well! 😉)

Anyway, The Plan is to get to a retirement home BEFORE we need in-home care. We want to avoid the scenarios we’ve seen with family and friends, where the situation goes from “well, we don’t need any help just yet” to “okay, yes, we probably should have had someone helping us sooner, but the smoke alarm worked like it should and the fire people were very nice, don’t you think?” 🙄 (You probably have better examples.)
