When we were still working, I would pick up my wife at the university where she worked. Sometimes (lots of times) there was waiting involved (always worth it, to spend the next 40 minutes with Deb, catching up on the day). So I had time to watch whichever team was using the fields near the parking lot.
Women don’t “throw like a girl” any more; not only are the underhand softball pitchers blindingly fast, the outfielders can put the ball into the infield from the fence, thank you.
Women cross country runners lope by using no movement that doesn’t push them forward as they “run like a girl.”
And there was the women’s rugby club, who I’m sure has very nice people, although I can cite no observations to back that up, as they tackled each other without padding or helmets.
