"Well," I thought, reading your story, "at least I'm doing better than THAT." And then finished it and had to take a minute with the Breathe app on my watch to get my heart rate back down. ☹️
For the most part (mostly) Lisa, I'm okay with grocery stores and such. Of course, being retired, I can go during non-peak hours when the crowds aren't so much of a crowd. And big plus, I can use self-checkout, so the average trip involves zero human interaction.
What scares me, coming up post-COVID, are group scenes where I am expected to interact with people. In-person church services. Gatherings of extended family. Funerals. I'm trusting (hoping) I can avoid things like class reunions.
Other than not being able to travel with my wife, I've mostly enjoyed the lockdown. "What's the first thing you'll do when you can go out and about without worrying about masks and social distancing?" people ask. <Sit quietly at home and practice mindful breathing> I say to no one because what's the point.
