We (me, 62; Deb, 66) both made the decision to take the Retirement Road over half a year ago (me: increasing stress at work and worry about my deteriorating mental state; Deb: frustration with a boss who made her feel unappreciated and disrespected) before COVID-19. Best (okay, luckiest) move we could have made. Both our former workplaces are messes, with leadership not adapting well, so we’re happy to be away. And we like each other’s company, and we are finding other ways to contribute to society and family.
Dumb luck — can’t recommend it to everyone, but so far it’s worked for us!
