We have one of these in our front yard. It was a cute little bush when we bought the place — now, 23 years later, it’s a hulk of a plant that blocks part of the view from the second story.
Ours *may* be a little different. We were told by our first yard person that it was a “Chinese dogwood,” but maybe he just remembered “Asian country dogwood” and misspoke. Ours has identical flowers (now mostly over 😢) but the center fruit turns orange, not pink. Never tried eating one, but now I might! 😁
