We do not have a pond, Annie, which we didn’t want to begin with and which turned out to be a big deal, because otherwise the township would have had us fence in our yard to avoid kids wandering in and drowning. (One could drown in our stream, in theory, but a deep puddle has the same danger level.) We absolutely LOVE the flowing water sound — even at night. Or especially at night, because it covers up the Route 30 sounds that can be obnoxious when the wind is from the south. No place for koi, no standing water for skeeters, I just have to remember to sound the tank once a week and fill it when needed.
And we get scenes like this.
