Um, yes, but… say the inside temp is 78F. A comfortable temp (for someone in robes running around — I should mention the choir was complaining about the heat, also, so maybe Pastor Dani wasn’t the guilty one, although she would definitely be a Usual Suspect) would be 70F. Turning the temp to 60F won’t make the temp reach 70F any faster, but it will make the temp hit 60F at some point (although considering the age of the church a/c system, that would only work if the outside temp was in the 30s, which happened to be the case on the Sunday in question).
