Type 2 diabetic diagnosed in 1999 (I had to pee in a cup for a drug test for a new job, and the lab test could smell the glucose in the sample). My A1c numbers have been in the 5.8–6.2 range for the last several years.

I’m sorry you said the insulin shots don’t hurt! (OK, sure, good for you, but…) My fear of needles has been my motivation for diet and exercise, so I shall simply credit you with a high pain threshold and continue to believe the shots would be excruciating for me. 😉

Have you looked into continuous glucose monitors? I hear good things, but my needle phobia has me freaking out about them. 🫣
