Toni, I was going to say that my father never learned to cook when we were kids, but no! He could do eggs. Scrambled! Over easy! Sunny-side up! And... um, no, that's it. Okay, and pancakes, although does it still count if my mother made the batter? 🙄

At least by the 1970s he could handle putting things in the oven with directions. But by that point, so could my sister and I, so it was moot. And by high school I was learning to cook, although my sister would argue that to count as "cooking" someone else has to be involved with eating the results. Willingly. (Deb will tell you that I do MUCH better now. 😊 )
