I have declining cognitive ability, so my wife and I changed our plans from a lower-cost retirement home to one that also has a memory care unit on site. The idea is that my wife will be able to visit me easily, but the idea that I would be "alive" in body but not mind distresses me. Being able to suicide in a relatively peaceful manner sounds like a good option. Thank you for posting this!
