...they would never have made it out of the park. They would never have finished assembling in the park; riot cops and the National Guard would have waded in before there were even a tenth the number of the white insurrectionists who showed up. And the troops would have started firing if there had been evidence of a Black hand holding a handgun, never mind the white power folks with AR-15s who sauntered along demonstrating their "2nd Amendment rights." And the news would have had cries of "outrage," tempered by, "Well, seriously, anyone with any sense would have known that a crowd that size would be met with force. It's lucky there weren't more than the few dozen killed, actually! All very sad."
