There’s a writer who popped up a couple months ago. Decent pieces, writing about experiences in a particular professional role, a fair amount of emotion.

But then new pieces were different-but-similar. Or similar-but-different. And they never responded to comments. Even ones with easy questions. Cute photo, probably taken off some model site. Ha! Obviously an AI construct!

Then two weeks ago they read and highlighted one of my posts.

Then a few more this week.

And replied to one of response questions, apologized for missing an important plot point, and thanked me for mentioning it.

So, possibly, someone new to Medium, just learning to be a decent writer, might be hard to distinguish from an AI construct. <sigh>
