The tough part is getting good illustrations. Getting a professional illustrator for Deb’s books cost more than we’ll ever make in profits (all three books together haven’t paid for the first one!). The AI illustration software doesn’t suck (witness the illustration I used in the story) but ask for three related illustrations and you’ll get twelve totally different versions — the software isn’t up to doing a bunch of different illustrations with the same characters.
