The pastor at our UCC church has a rainbow on her office door — with “PRIDE” under it, just so nobody might be thinking of Noah’s ark (the god parents of at least one of their kids are gay). This was mentioned as one of the “messages” being “forced” on the congregation when some members left. I don’t know as anyone’s missed them… actually, since then we’ve brought on an associate pastor who specifies her pronouns in her email signature. And our church secretary/organist/kids music director has felt supported enough to come out as gay AND introduce his boyfriend at church (where I heard some of the older ladies took the boyfriend aside and warned him if he EVER hurt Travis he would regret it).
The UCC is the kind of church an agnostic can get behind. 😊
