That’s but a glimpse, Roy. Here’s the (just past two frosts) version. Lots of leaves down, the perennials and most of the annuals have pretty much called it quits, and flowers are over except for some that have gone to seed (the finches care).

Water is still running, but that’s only a matter of time before we hit days when it’s below freezing all the time and we need to pull the submerged pumps.
Deb asked me, “With the problems with your parents, do you think we should have skipped the back yard landscaping?” We sit back in our porch and watch the water and the birds (and the occasional squirrel), enjoying our moment of peace and relaxation, and I tell her, “NO!”
