Thanks, Karen! Point of fact I didn’t mention: the doors to the plane worked fine. So “escaping” would have meant getting up, walking back down the aisle, and exiting the aircraft through the door. I’m sure it must have been much more confusing than that (darkness, shock, etc.) but fundamentally not hard. 😉 However, I’m open to how my brain might have interpreted the exit, especially after it had been scrambled.
