…but tl;dr: Linda thought she was bi when she married me, and not having a successful relationship with a guy just meant she hadn’t met the Right Guy. Plus she wanted kids, and (I think) to be “normal” in society. She knew before our first anniversary that it wasn’t going to work. We stayed friends through the divorce and her girlfriend moving in (they told me it was okay to stay in the guest room until I got a job, which, being in the middle of a recession, took nine months), and while we kinda lost touch after that, we got back in frequent contact through social media in the last decade or so. Deb and I got invited to her wedding last year, and we think her new wife Carol is wonderful.
