Succulents are WONDERFUL! We have a few varieties that can handle Pennsylvania winters; they grow slowly, but they’re hardy as hell and propagation consists of “nip some pieces, stick in a new patch of ground, water, forget.” The Dragons Blood turns dark red in the winter.
Inside are mostly plants I’ve inherited, including a ficus tree that an ex-girlfriend was going to toss (¾ dead) but gave to me instead; almost 30 years later it’s still doing pretty well.
