South central Pennsylvania is having a normal enough winter — sleet + ice storm last Saturday that kept people at home (we stayed in and watched Netflix by the fire) and was great for online sales but sucked for bricks & mortar. Sonny’s protests to contrary, we ARE in winter now; winter starts when the last maple tree drops its leaves. Spring starts in March or when the first crocus comes up, whichever happens second (we’ve had crocus pop in warm Januarys). Summer begins with Memorial Day and ends at Labor Day, and has nothing to do with weather.

Keep yourself and the family warm and safe, dear lady; I know Texas has ice storms that kill and maim without pity.
