Soooo… instead of composing my story on my laptop (to avoid the editor quirks in the phone/tablet version of Medium), switching to my phone to take advantage of direct access to my own photos so I can insert them into my story, switching back to my laptop to actually size the photos as I want them… I can skip that last step because it doesn’t work! Yay!
Wait, I don’t publish from my phone because the publish options suck. So the benefit is… 🙄
FWIW, I know this one. This is a bug fix to a problem with photos looking bad on some odd model of Samsung phone that nobody uses except some C-level person at Medium, who bitched to the CIO, who told the lead developer to get it fixed NOW, who then told one of the staffers they weren’t going home until it got fixed. The bug is now fixed, and that developer went home for a long weekend and turned off their phone. Check the system again on Tuesday. (Oh crap, that’s the first day of the month? Sorry, can’t push bug fixes on the first day of the month, company rule. Well, not really a RULE, as such, it’s just there was that one time… Wednesday, Wednesday will be better anyway, only good things happen on Wednesday, right? Good chat, thanks for stopping by!)
