<sigh> Yes. Medium does that.

There is a mini-industry on Medium (maybe more a hobby group, since there's no profit in it) revolving around "WTF is Medium up to now?" Every major change provokes "HA! I see what they're doing!" articles, where a new author expounds on their theory about the Latest Great Change (or a minor one, sometimes, because those can be intensely irritating in their own way). Readers nod and chime in, "Yup, that makes sense, I can see that!" and then a month or four later Medium adds a zag to their latest zig (or goes off in a different dimension entirely) and everyone goes 😳.

And we old-timers go <sigh> Yes. Medium does that. and pour ourselves another drink.
