<sigh> I’m not sure that’s always the case, alas. Sometimes it feels like:

“So how much is this?”
“Two.”
“And this?”
“Two.”
“So I put them together and we have…?”
“Five.”
“…What? HOW?”
“Those are large values of two.”
“…WHAT?”
“You suddenly seem to be upset for no reason.”
“Because you can’t add fucking two and two!”
“And now you’re being disrespectful for no reason.”

And while 2+2=4, still, somehow the problem abruptly is ascribed elsewhere.

But telling the truth is still a good thing. If we lose that, we lose it all.
