The reminder of the Worry Stone

Broken Is Not Unfixable

and

Fixed Is Not Healed

I have a “worry stone” that I bought many years ago that I always carry with me. It’s smooth, with a concave side that is just the right size for a thumb. When I’m feeling anxious, I hold it in my hand and rub it. It helps.

Awhile back I dropped it on a hard surface and it broke neatly in two. I repaired it with super glue, but not neatly, and I can still feel the fracture line whenever I rub my thumb across it.

It reminds me things going badly can still be repaired; but that doesn’t mean the bad things are erased.
