PLAN B: Ship catalogs to you (and N, because I assume you share) directly. The last time I did something like this was several years ago, when Deb wanted to send copies of her children’s books to the new Prince George:

It was pretty easy! Just go online, fill out some forms, print some paperwork, drop the package at the post office and bing! Bob’s your uncle!

Catalogs, it turns out, weigh more and are much larger than a couple half-size books for kids, so special packaging is required…

Anyway, after Christmas (the US Postal Service is having a bad moment right now, in between the holidays, massive increases in people posting cards and shipping packages, and the Trump administration kneecapping the USPS to make it harder to vote by mail) I will stop at the local post office to get an international envelope, tape the customs paperwork et al on the front, and send it off to Singapore.

Deb had been getting into the fun of this, by the way; she has been handing me catalogs at breakfast with the comment, “This one’s for Agnes!” 😁 So at some point in 2021 you should get a bulky envelope from the States; hopefully it will give you two some chuckles, occasional comments on verrückt American consumerism, and perhaps even something to write about.
