Our 2019 Honda Fit has automatic headlights (even automatic high beams, although it tends to be more cautious than I like while driving during deer season in PA) so I avoided your problem, Brian. But I also have trouble driving at night on winding country roads, simply because the headlights don't reach around corners (so much for "advanced tech" <snort>) and all it takes is one oncoming vehicle to wipe out my night vision for a couple minutes.
