OMG, poinsettia get 12 feet tall in the wild? And hardy enough to withstand occasional freezing temps? W&W is a very educational pub!

Me, I still can't get my head around bamboo popping up all over our area in the last decade. Not only does it withstand winter days of temps never getting above 20°, it flourishes like a freakin' weed until it gets attacked with machetes and flamethrowers! (Of course, my deep knowledge of bamboo is based on watchings of "Gilligan's Island," so there's that.)

I added a GIF of our spring snowfall. Very pretty, in a "thank heaven we don't have to be out in it" kind of way. 😁
