Oliver, I notice you didn’t recommend your own post. Although I don’t claim to understand how Medium decides what items to dangle in front of me on a regular basis, I seem to (mostly) get more views when I recommend my own stuff. At least my traffic seems to have picked up since I started doing that. It feels odd at first (“Hey! What a great piece of writing! And it’s by ME!!”) but I’ve gotten used to it.

So maybe you can hang a heart on your creations, centered nicely, and then go run and hide? Just a thought.
