Okay, Heath? (And anyone else wandering by.) DO NOT USE NATURAL PB FOR SNACKING! We keep both kinds in the house: natural for recipes, cooking, thickening agent, and so on; Skippy (aka “unnatural”) for any time we just want to open the jar, dig in a spoon, eat some peanut butter, and get on with life without blood pressure and heart rate peaking. They both derive from peanuts, and both have similar names, but THEY ARE NOT THE SAME THING.

Hopefully your article will serve as a warning to others.

Oh, and helpful hint: leave the jar stored upside-down in the pantry for at least a week after purchasing. The hard stuff will be at the lid end when you open it. DO NOT PUSH DOWN HARD ON THE SOLID PIECE or you will be cleaning peanut oil off your kitchen ceiling.
