Oh dear. Anna sound like our oldest niece, only (sad to say) a bit more competent and hard-working. Our niece lacks confidence to do things she's shown she can do, but then occasionally will attempt tasks at her job that she never bothered to learn ("But there's never any TIME!") and so fails miserably, and then doubts herself again for the things she CAN do. Deb has shifted from offering suggestions to just smiling and nodding.
