Never put gasoline anywhere but a gas can or gas tank. Volatilized gasoline has more explosive power, by weight, than dynamite.
My brother-in-law wanted to burn a pile of wet leaves (this was back when homeowners were allowed to do that). He poured half a can of gasoline on the pile, then poured a trail of gasoline away from the pile. He thought he could light the trail and "just like in the movies" it would burn back to the pile and burn the leaves. He could step back if the blaze was too much.
Or! The trail ignited almost all at once, the flame ignited the gasoline vapor in the pile, and the pile blew up. Burning leaves everywhere. BiL flat on his ass, knocked down by the blast.
