He took a few deep breaths, relaxing his body and sliding his face into a look of romantic interest (he hoped). He gazed at the girl sitting next to him, turned toward him expectantly in the front seat of the compact station wagon, and leaning forward slightly he whispered, “I think we’d be much more comfortable in the back seat, don’t you?”
