Navy Nuclear Power School was excellent at teaching us to solve the problem. It was NOT good at teaching us to DEFINE the problem, which in this case was “Get food for dinner” (as Mark Starlin pointed out, ordering pizza would have worked great) as opposed to “Make dinner.” It took me years (and a class on Navy project management) to figure that out.
