My wife and I talk about how we tend to follow TV series where we like the characters. And while we recognize that good things won’t always happen, or plots will take nasty turns (hello, GoT!), we still want “our people” to come out ahead and be happy, even if we can’t see how, in some episodes.

So I’m glad I don’t have to worry about Rob getting beheaded suddenly. Because otherwise some of your episode endings would feel like we’re getting set up for a nasty turn.
