My ex-wife volunteered with Glide's Meals on Wheels program when she was stationed on Treasure Island back in 1989-91 (T.I. was still Navy back then). She took me along on a run when I was there to visit her; I wasn't wild about some of the neighborhoods she delivered to, but I had no say (of course) and anyway she could kick ass better than I could. The recipients were all grateful.
