Most of the adults I know who grew up as military dependents have a “Well, it was how it was,” attitude toward how they grew up. Of course, most of the adults I know who grew up to be military dependents went into the military themselves, so there’s some selection bias.

Usually this is said to veterans who served in uniform, I know, but: “Thank you for your service, Annie!”
