😁 Me, I would look left, look right, glance down (more to avoid stepping in something, what with city streets and all), see "LOOK RIGHT ->", and frantically look right again in case something had changed in the last couple hundred milliseconds.

Oh, and I would "MIND THE GAP" in the Tube. Although I never figured out if I was doing it correctly.
