Kate, after Roz Warren, did an article on Medium about where are the pockets in women’s clothing, I asked around.
It’s the boomers’ fault. Apparently.
The few women in my age group who aren’t nerds like me (nerds are a large percentage of my female friends, for some reason) don’t need pockets because they have purses. “What if you don’t want to carry a purse?” [the question from my nerd friends] I got weird looks. “After all the time & money I spent finding the perfect purse, why would I not carry it? And I cannot fit all My Stuff in pockets. Plus pockets destroy the lines on a dress.”
<sigh>
Millennials are starting to take over clothing companies, so maybe there’s still hope?
