Karen, I was single for many years and I was (I thought, anyway) pretty well adjusted to it. Things I really liked to do (like movies) I had no problems doing solo. I totally agree with you and Oliver that being unattached is a totally comfortable life style.

That said, my wife and I agree that being comfortably single made us much more flexible when we met and started feeling attracted to each other. No pressure.
