Jordan, I was an “evangelist agnostic” (I don’t know the truth — AND YOU DO NOT EITHER!) in my 20s, but I became a True Agnostic when I read about chaos theory. Combine it with quantum mechanics, and the only conclusion a logical person can draw is that There Is Some Seriously Weird Shit Going On In This Universe. If people want to call it God and do good things for their fellow humans as a result, I fully support them (and I am a member in good standing in a local church with mission as its purpose in life); if people want to call it God and do bad things to people, well, I can endorse their termination without prejudice. To me, agnosticism is the only True (un)Faith, but the night is dark and full of terrors, so I don’t begrudge anyone who needs a god or not-god in their life.
