I've hugged my nephews since they were the age when I had to get on my knees or pick them up to make it work; two of them are now the size that they could pick ME up, but we still do big hugs.

Ditto my brothers-in-law. However (except for my sister's husbands) they grew up with a father (Presbyterian pastor) who hugged EVERYBODY. The most frequent comment at his funeral was, "Oh, I so loved Bob's hugs!" and my BiLs live up to that.

My wife's first husband (very gay, although that didn't come out until after their wedding, and was a surprise to him, also) got hugs from my wife's entire family, including the guys, years after the divorce.

My point (did I have one?) is that guys hugging guys is great, from my experience, and all the guys in my family seem to like it.
