It would be silly to try to make a case for science, when I’ve only seen your creative side and found it wonderful, but… hell, I get silly sometimes.

Mercenary: Science pays better. At least in the short run (although that’s a relative thing, alas) and usually in the middle run. IOW, keep your day job for the money.

Feminist: We need more women in the sciences!

Logical: It’s not either/or. You can do both, feeding your soul and your c.v.

Relative: If you stay in science, you have a much better chance of meeting and marrying a nice Jewish doctor and making your mother very happy. [Change references as necessary to be ethnically/culturally appropriate.]

OTOH, you’ve probably thought about all of the above (except maybe the Jewish doctor, maybe) and more, and are still tending the way you stated, soooo… I know you’ll do well in whatever you do, whichever way you decide.

P.S. If I find a rousing speech from Bill Nye, The Science Guy, will that have any influence? Just checking.
