I take it you mean "...besides Deb" and "...besides writing"? 😁

Cooking; I have a method best described as "throw a bunch of stuff into a pan/pot/baking dish and see what happens," but my housemate appreciates me and I've learned what she doesn't like (peppers! not even bells).

Programming, once upon a time; alas, my brain can no longer hold a program in my wetware memory like I used to, which makes for too many mistakes and runtime errors, and hence my current retirement.

Working in our yard; which is odd, since I mowed neighbors' yards during junior high and high school, miserable as hell, and I vowed to never, ever have a yard in adulthood. I kept to townhomes and apartments for two decades, and then I maried Deb. But we hired yard mowers and landscapers, and life was good. Then last year I decided to do (some) of my own mulching to save money, and found I liked it! Now I spend several hours each week weeding, planting & replanting, trimming, and generally engaging in puttering. I have found peace in observing nature and engaging her in strife and partnership.
