I liked your story, Steffany. I was in a plane that actually crashed, but my story would be very boring — I remember falling asleep on the plane, then waking up in the hospital with my broken wrist getting bandaged. (I found out later that I had been conscious after the crash and had interacted with the first responders on the scene, but somehow all that got erased. Probably not a bad thing, overall, since flying makes me nervous sometimes but doesn't terrify me.)

But you captured the "we're all going to die very shortly" feeling from an entirely different experience I had in the Navy... which I can't write about because it's classified. Which makes it sound mysterious and exciting, but nah, it was more, "something happened, and we thought we were about to die, then something else happened, and we didn't." But yes, for a few minutes it was VERY interesting. 😁
