I hear this like a hymn in my head… slow stately pipe organ music, harmony from the full choir… then on the last verse, the choir leader starts to clap… clapping in time to the organ music, as the last full strains finish, then the organ is silent and it’s just clap… clap… clap… then STOMP STOMP CLAP as the choir suddenly springs back to life… STOMP STOMP CLAP and the tempo picks up, STOMP STOMP CLAP and there’s an electronic organ starting an intro melody, similar to the first slow hymn but faster and more complex… then the choir starts singing the first verse again, but with other voices weaving through, first high voices dominating, then low voices, trading off, tag teaming… on the last verse everything comes together, proud and loud, shaking the dust loose from the ceiling as the sound reverberates… then sudden silence, except for the choir leader… clap… clap… clap.

I don’t know musical language and I have no musical ability (I’m slightly tone deaf, tbh) so I can’t really explain what’s in my head, but your words have power, Lecia Michelle 📃
