I have yet to determine if Medium’s cyclical transformations are motivated by a desire for self-improvement, attempts to prevent people from gaming the system, or just the results of inevitable personnel turnovers.

Me, I just hope that some day the feature I’ve been asking for since 2015 appears: real footnotes*. I am NOT particularly hopeful.

*Inserting asterisks at odd places are not real footnotes. A system that allows automatic numbering with click-to-view/click-to-return automation is real footnotes (SEE: Wordpress).
