I have to be careful of wheat, but not wheat-as-wheat — I just need to watch my intake of processed flour bcause it turns to blood sugar almost instantly. (Well, it feels like that.) But a whole-wheat loaf with extra grains is okay for me. (Not great, mind, but okay.)

The good news [he said hopefully] is that there are bunches of gluten-free foods out there, at least as compared to a decade ago. And almost all are wheat-free. (And some have added sugar, defeating the purpose for me, because... WTF?! So I read labels.) So hopefully you can enjoy the occasional wheat-free food that doesn't totally suck? Let me point you at cauliflower-crust pizzas. Most are MEH, some are wow, that's okay!

Good luck, dear lady, and I hope you have safe travels to NYC or wherever! {*{*{*hugs*}*}*}
