I have a friend who lives up in the hills around Harrisburg. Neighbors told her to take in her bird feeders at night (or not put them out at all), but she sometimes forgot. So one morning Mary Lou gets up and her dog is standing at the back window, staring and growling and asking to get out. And there is a good-size bear raiding the feeder. She didn’t let the dog out (it was maybe 20 pounds if you weigh in the hair).
Makes us appreciate only having to deal with deer and groundhogs eating our flowers, Annie!
